Young Persons
What are we here for?
The doctors and nurses are happy to see young people about any health problem or worry, or for advice.
Some examples are: coughs, stomach pains, period problems, acne, breast or testicle lumps, stress, contraception, worries about being pregnant, depression, infections caught through having sex, weight problems, alcohol or drug problems, worries about problems at home or school and many other types of worries. The doctor or nurse can also arrange for you to see a health visitor, school nurse, social worker or counsellor.
Confidentiality
Many young people are concerned that what they tell us is not kept completely private. To all our staff, keeping things confidential is very important. Everyone has the right to be safe from harm or the fear of harm. The doctor or nurse may need to tell someone if they are worried about your safety. They will always talk to you about this first.
Under 16’s
Some people prefer to see the doctor alone. It is often a good idea to involve a parent or guardian, but it is not essential e.g. if you need advice about contraception.
Free condoms
As part of a new service to young people, we are able to provide condoms FREE. All you need to do is make an appointment to see the Practice Nurse. This service is confidential.

RUclear is run by the NHS, the tests are of a high quality and are FREE.
It offers free and confidential Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea testing for people aged 16 to 24 years for .
